Ben studied podiatry in Sydney and received his degree from University of Western Sydney. Initially working from his own private practice, Ben moved to the Running Clinic in North Sydney. He began working part time in Canberra with Andrea Cleland before finally coming to Canberra full time in 1990. A background in distance running and a skiing enthusiast, Ben specialises in the field of sports podiatry, biomechanics, and has forged strong relationships in Canberra with the AIS, allied health professionals, shoe manufacturers and retailers
Ben is involved with various learning institutions, providing clinical placements for podiatry students and lecturing to interest groups.
Ben chose podiatry because of the quickly developing nature of the profession, and the personal satisfaction derived from relieving a patient's pain and improving their quality of life.
